Course Description: This course analyzes ASL fingerspelling from a phonological reception approach, focusing on the recognition of finger/thumb extensions for alphabetic and numeric representations.  Practice drills include rotating matched pair drills to rehearse individual production/reception of multiple productions; and the reading of nonsense letter combinations to drill pattern reception.
